RCI Honoured with 5 Awards at ARDA 2013

Leading exchange specialists RCI were honoured with no less than five awards at the ARDA 2013 Awards Gala Dinner in Hollywood, Florida last week.

The prestigious event, organised by ARDA.org, is one of the highlights on the shared ownership calendar, and draws delegates and timeshare and fractional brands from all over the world.

On the night, RCI was presented with a number of awards including best Technology Manager/Team and the Communcations/Public Relations Award.

“It’s rather apropos that we began the ARDA World 2013 Convention & Expo by showcasing our latest innovations and ended another great convention by seeing RCI recognised for our outstanding technology achievements and our amazingly talented team of professionals,” said Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI.  “We are truly fortunate to have the best people in the indstry who are helping keep RCI and our affiliates one step ahead of the competition.”

In addition, Julia Geffner won the ACE Women on Their Way Award and the Marketing Management Executive Award. Geffner is well known in the industry for her work ethic and proactive leadership.

Technology and media relations have been a priority for RCI and the hard work has paid off this year, with RCI’s Public Relations Team taking home the Communications/Public Relations Professional or Team Award.  The RCI team have worked tirelessly over the past year to promote positive messages about vacation ownership and the benefits of the timeshare lifestyle in the media – and not just about RCI but about its affiliated resorts and the quality and innovations in the industry as a whole.

One of RCI’s most popular online platforms is its dedicated YouTube channel featuring guides to destinations and resorts, so that members can get an authentic feel of a resort they may be interested in visiting for the first time, prior to actually booking their trip.

Timeshare now appeals to a broad spectrum of buyers, from older couples to young families, who appreciate the value for money and more flexible holiday choices many of the leading timeshare companies and private residence clubs offer today.

RCI ran an innovative email campaign called “Abandoned Search Email” which targeted members acively searching on RCO.com and providing them with “bespoke” recommendations of resorts to discover, based on their past search history.  As a result, RCI picked up the Innovative Marketing, Public Relations or Social Media Campaign category award, as well.
