Renaissance Antibes Juan-les-Pins even has its own private beach
Marriott’s latest project in France comes under the hotel group’s Renaissance Hotels brand and is due to open early next year at Juan-les-Pins, one of the south of France’s most glamorous hot spots.
The location, between Nice and Cannes, is a popular jet-set destination named “les pins” after the umbrella pine trees that populate the region.
The hotel, previously known as the Hotel Ambassadeur, will be re-branded the Renaissance Antibes Juan-les-Pins; it is located near the famous La Pinede Gould, the site of the summer“Jazz a Juan” international jazz festival every July which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
“We are thrilled to add this newest gem, so perfect for the destination, to the Renaissance Hotels collection,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe.
Its new look will show off a multi-million euro renovation that includes smart modern interiors with natural driftwood floors and two pools – indoor and outdoor. And it’s close to the beach, a short walk from the hotel’s private sandy Plage Les Ambassadeurs.
Last year, the US brand Marriott announced its goal of doubling its portfolio in Europe by 2015. Two newly branded hotels in the south of France, the Renaissance Antibes Juan-les-Pins Hotel and the 261-room JW Marriott Hotel Cannes are part of the 25-strong hotel portfolio that is currently being developed in Europe.
