Proving that business is booming for timeshares, Holiday Club Resorts Oy has revealed positive results for the last fiscal year.
The Finnish company, renowned for its timeshare business and spa hotels – as well as its popular new Angry Birds activity parks – this week announced it saw a 30 per cent increase in turnover in 2012.
The firm also revealed it had raised five million Euros through a share issue and a further four million through convertible bonds to use on future investments.
Holiday Club boosted their employees to 775 people after a successful 2012, in which they launched a brand new spa hotel and holiday resort in Finland – the biggest of its kind in the Nordic countries.
Thanks to the success of the resort, the firm is planning on building new holiday on site, plus an 18-hole golf course and shopping centre.
The company hopes to continue its success into 2013 by attracting the attention of tourists from all over the world, with the launch of Angry Birds activity parks at three of its hotels.
Based on the popular game, the first park opened in Kuusamon Tropiikki over Christmas, while the others will launch later this year at a cost of 5 million Euros.
Meanwhile, Holiday Club has also introduced its brand new Villas apartments to a selection of resorts, many of which have sold in record time.
