A new poll by travel website Sunshine.co.uk reveals that Britons spend a good 24 hours looking for information and photos online before booking. 1,029 UK holidaymakers took part in the poll which was part of the company’s ongoing research into our holiday habits and preferences. All of those surveyed had holidayed abroad in the previous twelve months.
When asked how many weeks it usually took them to decide on a holiday destination the average response was ‘6 weeks’, with the amount of time spent researching information and reading reviews online averaging out at around 4.5 hours a week.
Top priorities and deciding factors included:
- Air conditioning – 77%
- Sea View – 64%
- Pool – 61%
- Good food – 58%
- Child-friendly – 53%
