Top Health and Packing Tips for your next Timeshare Ski Break

Ski trips are a lot of fun, although the combination of the change in climate, the air travel, being more active than usual, and partaking in those apres-ski vins chauds can take it out of us. It’s a good idea to boost your immunity before you head off, and to follow some basic health advice in between ski runs.

If you’ve been feeling run down, invest in a travel probiotic and zinc supplement and pop one of these daily before you travel and whilst away. In fact, whether you’re heading for the slopes or opting for a beach-based timeshare break, if the run up to your holiday has been hectic, taking a probiotic and multivitamin supplement will reap rewards.

Skiing will make you hungry and this is not the time to be avoiding carbs or skipping meals. Breakfast like a king to set yourself up for the day, don’t skip on lunch, and make sure you refuel well at dinner. Also, consider taking a healthy snack bar or two on the slopes in case your energy dips.

Remember that at higher altitudes we need to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, so keep a small bottle of water on you if possible and drink at regular intervals. Sip on some water alongside that hot chocolate on your pit stops and soak up as much winter sunshine as you can to recharge your batteries before you get back.
