Five Autumn Sun Timeshare Escapes

With the cooler nights already starting to roll in, it’s time to start thinking of topping up your Vitamin D levels with a trip to sunnier climes.

If you want to avoid the summer crowds yet soak up the sun, the autumn is the perfect time to holiday. We’ve rounded up five destinations where the sun will still be shining day in, day out, for a last blast of warm weather before winter arrives.

1) Marrakech

With temperatures still in the low 30Cs and the nights still warm enough for dinners “al fresco” Marrakech’s pink city is a fairytale escape in autumn.  Stay at Hapimag’s enchanting  Marrakech resort and top up your summer tan by the palm-dotted cool blue pool or during a round of golf at one of the top courses near the resort… and don’t forget to bring home some home decor, spice or argan oil gifts – Marrakech is a foodie and interior designer’s heaven!

2) South of France

The glamorous South of France is usually thought of as a summer destination, but the peaceful months of autumn are the perfect time to explore. Although temperatures still reach 25C, the towns are a lot quieter and the beaches are blissfully peaceful. As an alternative to St Tropez  try the balmy weather and delicious food in Avignon.

3) Canary Islands

The Canaries boast scorching temperatures of 29°C come autumn. Sun worshippers should head for Lanzarote, the hottest of the islands and located – amazingly – just 70 kilometres from the Sahara Desert. Hikers will also love grabbing their boots to explore the island’s volcanic terrain in the spectacular Timanfaya National Park. Club La Costa , Petchey Leisure and a number of other timeshare specialists have resorts on the islands.

4) Malta

Come autumn, Malta boasts warm seas, blue skies and lush, green landscapes, which are perfect for enjoying outdoor activities. With a three hour transfer time from the UK, this is the perfect sunshine break. Where to stay: Azure’s Golden Sands Resort

5) Florida

America’s timeshare favourite Florida isn’t called The Sunshine State for nothing. It’s the perfect hotspot for enjoying the autumn sunshine, thanks to its wonderful theme parks and beautiful coastlines. But if Disneyland doesn’t take your fancy, then why not try the North Gulf Coast? Based just a few hours from Orlando, it boasts some of the world’s finest beaches, and plenty of autumn sunshine.
