Kusadasi Golf & Spa will be the first mixed use residential resort with its own golf course in Turkey, and for CLC
Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels will open a brand new resort in Kusadasi on Turkey’s Aegean coast next summer. Kusadasi Golf & Spa will be a first for both the resort developer, and Turkey, comprising a unique, mixed use residential development complete with its own 18-hole, par 72 golf course, spa, shops, sports and on-site restaurants.
The resort is set on a hilltop, close to one of the region’s most spectacular stretches of coast, “Long Beach”, and is just 11 km from Kusadasi, one of Turkey ’s top tourist spots earmarked to become a golf centre.
Kusadasi’s many attractions include a colourful beach city, harbour, stylish marina and the vibrant waterfront resort is a port of call for many cruise ships.
The golf-and-spa resort is designed as a self-contained “village”, ultimately comprising 2,000 luxury accommodations, the golf course, a spa with Turkish bath, swimming pools, an aqua park, sports facilities, restaurants and bars, as well as shops. It’s CLC’s second project in Turkey; Apollonium Spa & Beach Resort on Bozbuk Bay opened in 2009.
Roy Peires, chairman and founder of Club La Costa, said, “Turkey is a great destination for us and the bonus of a golf course adds something new to the diversity of holiday experiences we offer and which we are continually seeking to expand.”
Kusadasi Golf & Spa offers panoramic views across the Aegean to the Greek island of Samos, and will be open to guests starting next summer 2011.
Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels, founded in 1984, operates mixed use resorts across Europe and has its own yacht club. The company recently announced a new resort, Encantada, in Orlando, Florida, also scheduled to open in 2011.
