Ritz Carlton, one of the world’s leading five star deluxe hotel brands, has won yet another award.
One of the properties in the company’s prestigious international portfolio, the Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, in the Middle East can now call itself the “World’s Leading Palace Hotel “ after receiving the honour at the World Travel Awards held in Doha, Qatar.
Ritz Carlton also operates one of the most luxurious destination clubs in the world – The Ritz Carlton Destination Club which has a portfolio of handpicked properties in highly sought-after locations.

The award-winning palatial property is situated within the Diplomatic Quarter next to the King Abdul Aziz Conference Centre. Located within 213,500 square metres (52 acres) of beautifully landscaped gardens, and the property is modelled in elegant Arabian style.
The World Travel Awards recognise outstanding excellence in the global travel and tourism industry. Major players from the world of luxury travel were among the judges at the event which was held in partnership with Qatar Tourism Authority, at Katara Cultural Village. Votes were casted by 213,000 travel professionals – travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organizations – spanning 160 countries across the globe.
The hotel was originally envisioned as a royal guest palace for visiting dignitaries and heads of state; its location amidst 600-year old olive trees from Lebanon, luxurious water fountains and stately Arabian architecture provide for an oasis of serenity amidst the bustling city centre.
