Planes, trains and local transportation personnel will be taking part in a general strike in Italy for 24 hours which ends tonight. Planes, trains, ferries and some shipping schedules will all be affected.
EasyJet is warning passengers that the strike action will affect air traffic control and passengers are advised to check their flight status on www.easyjet.com before travelling.
On September 6, an eight-hour strike by workers protesting against Italy’s tough austerity measures shut down transport links and businesses across Italy.
A statement on EasyJet’s website said: "While the circumstances are outside of the airline’s control, EasyJet apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to reassure passengers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption.”
