Leading US hospitality brand Wyndham Worldwide has been named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies of 2015 by the Ethisphere Institute, making this the third time Wyndham has received this accolade since 2007, when Ethisphere first introduced this prestigious designation.
This year’s 132 honorees span 21 countries, across five continents and represent over 50 industries. In its ninth year, the list includes 15 nine-time honorees and 11 first-time honorees. Some of the best-known global giants who made the list for 2015 include Google, Gap, L’Oreal, Levi Strauss and Hitachi.
One of the world’s most recognised hotel brands, Wyndham also runs a very successful timeshare and shared ownership division, Wyndham Vacation Ownership http://www.wyndhamworldwide.com/about-wyndham-worldwide/wyndham-vacation-ownership
The Ethisphere Institute scores cover five key categories: Ethics and Compliance Program, Corporate Citizenship and Responsibility, Culture of Ethics, Governance, and Leadership, Innovation and Reputation.

The designation is awarded to companies that consistently raise the bar when it comes to ethical leadership and the important synergy between ethics, reputation and – very importantly – daily interactions with its customers and others.
Out of all the companies who received the Ethisphere Institute recognition, Wyndham Worldwide, which is a parent company of RCI, is one of just four hospitality-led brands honoured this time around.
Wyndham’s Count On Me! service philosophy, integrity and accountability are a vital part of the culture at every brand office and property worldwide.
How The World’s Most Ethical Company rating works
The World’s Most Ethical Company assessment is based upon the Ethisphere Institute’s Ethics Quotient (EQ) unique framework, designed to assess an organization’s performance in an objective, consistent and standardized way. The EQ framework and methodology is set out, vetted and refined by experts from Ethisphere’s network of thought leaders and from the World’s Most Ethical Company Methodology Advisory Panel.
Stephen P. Holmes, chairman and chief executive officer, Wyndham Worldwide, said: “Acting with integrity is one of our core values, and how we do business in nearly 100 countries around the world.
“Our success has been built on a drive to not only do what’s right for our business, but what’s right for our customers, associates, and communities. Our values-based approach has enabled us to grow as one of the best performing hospitality companies in a way that is responsible and responsive to the world around us.”
The World’s Most Ethical Companies® designation recognizes companies that truly go beyond making statements about doing business “ethically” and translate those words into action. Honorees not only promote ethical business standards and practices internally, they exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future industry standards by introducing best practices today.
