Visit Scotland: UK Looks to Scottish Islands for Escape


According to a survey, 32 per cent of respondents chose Scottish islands in general as their perfect getaway.

Visit Scotland reported that timeshare owners on the island can enjoy a host of activities on the islands, such as whale watching, food and whisky trails on top of some golfing.

People over the UK have voted the islands off the west coast of Scotland as the ideal place for a British island escape.

A survey by YouGov of 2,276 adults over the UK has revealed that 14 per cent selected the group of islands that include Arran, Skye, Islay as well as Mull.

Visit Scotland reported that timeshare owners on the island can enjoy a host of activities on the islands, such as whale watching, food and whisky trails on top of some golfing.

The body said that the islands are notable for offering timeshare owners and other visitors some pristine beaches ideal for walking on.

According to the survey, 32 per cent of respondents chose Scottish islands in general as their perfect getaway.

Scotland is surrounded by around 790 islands, 130 of which are inhabited, Visit Scotland explained.

For those timeshare owners looking for some golfing action, the organisation said the country is widely seen as the home of the sport.
