Timeshare owners in Britain will not have to deal with the difficulties involved with travelling abroad, such as flight disturbances, long queues and issues with the exchange rate, Ms Yates notes.

People will always be found surfing on Newquay beaches or enjoying the picturesque scenery of the Lake District as Brits make the most of the changeable weather, she notes, adding that children will remember fish and chips and playing football on the beach rather than exotic destinations.

VisitBritain is the national tourism agency for Britain and is responsible for marketing the country across the world and it works with thousands of organisations in the UK.
