A Wonderful Week at Clowance
Location
We have recently returned from a wonderful week at Clowance, which I am sure is the 'Jewel in the Seasons Crown.' We took our son, daughter-in-law and two little granddaughters for their first week in a Seasons resort, and they were certainly not disappointed.
We had visited on a short break at the end of January with some friends who were very impressed. They loved the extensive grounds and were surprised at the number of things which were available on site. On a walk around the gardens, we discovered The Three Bears and the Fairy Glen, and my friend, who is nothing if not imaginative, suggested that our two little granddaughters would love it, and especially so if they found their own little fairies there for them to take home! Milly duly managed to purchase two small fairies and delivered them to me together with my instructions as to what I should do with them.
We all managed to go for a walk in a lull in the rain on our first day, and three-year-old Ellie and two-year-old Sophie loved the three bears and the fairies. We told them that we would go again to see if any more fairies had come to visit later in the week. A couple of days later, we visited them again, in the sunshine, and sure enough, the fairies had brought two extra little ones especially for Ellie and Sophie to take away with them, and as a bonus, there were a couple of Freddo frogs as well!
We all had a fantastic week, we were able to go to the lovely Cornish beaches every day apart from the first one; the girls swimming improved tremendously be being able to go in the pool every day, in fact Ellie was swimming like a fish by the time we left; and they thoroughly enjoyed Daddy and Mummy taking them for a row on the beautiful lake. On the morning we left, we all had a swim after we had checked out, and afterwards in the changing room we noticed tears running down the face of one little girl. 'What's the matter Ellie?' we said. 'I don't want to go home,' was the reply! So what did Grandma do when she got home? Well, immediately booked for next year, of course! A special thank you to all the staff for helping to make our holiday so memorable with their friendliness and helpfulness, and also to Mark and Linda from guest relations, you were all fantastic.'
