For those who may be considering a timeshare holiday this festive season, there are a number of top places in Europe for a Christmas trip, it is claimed. Skyscanner says that Turkey offers a top place for a festive break as it has regular snowfalls and mountains more than 4,000 metres high so holidaymakers can guarantee themselves a white Christmas.

The country is home to ten ski resorts as well, the website reveals, which could entice those considering a timeshare trip to Turkey.

Meanwhile, Brussels is another top place to visit for a festive trip as is Krakow in Poland, which "goes off with a bang in December with a cracking Christmas market held in the main square", Skyscanner explains.

It adds that a traveller at the market can "browse stalls selling Baltic amber jewellery and woollen slippers from the Polish highlands".

Despite the credit crunch, people in Britain will not sacrifice their yearly holidays, which could include timeshare trips, a survey from Adfero has shown.

Just 20 per cent of respondents said their holiday plans had been affected by the current economic downturn.
