Interval International Wins Best Media Award at GNEX 2012

Interval International has received Perspective Magazine’s “Best Media” award at the GNEX 2012 – Timeshare and Fractional Global Networking Expo in Cancun, Mexico. The company’s social media site, Interval Community, was recognized for its ability to gain the trust and long-term affinity of its members through the facilitation of member-to-member relationships and its capacity to deepen the Interval-to-member connection. In addition, Interval’s developer partners garnered top prizes in 19 categories.

Accepting the “Best Media” award, David Gilbert, Interval’s executive vice president of resort sales and marketing, commented, “It’s an honor to be recognized for our innovative approach to creating a unique member platform. Interval Community is a natural extension of our ongoing commitment to members and we’re delighted that they’re finding such value in connecting with each other about their vacation ownership.”

With more than 115,000 member profiles and 30,000 content-rich postings, Interval Community offers practical information for members on how to maximize their membership. The forum has enjoyed over 6 million page views.

Some of the highlights of the 19 awards won by Interval clients and member resorts included Best Industry Leader, which went to Bruce L. Thompson, CEO, Gold Key/PHR Hotels & Resorts, Best Newcomer – Tesoro Resorts, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and the Best Timeshare Resort awards went to Dawn Beach Club – North America, Marriott’s Playa Andaluza – Europe/Middle East, Marriott’s Mai Khao Beach Resort – Asia Pacific (which also won the Worldwide category) and Beacon Island Lifestyle Resort – South Africa.
