Venice Named as Top Valentine's Day Trip 2010

There are plenty of places across Europe that timeshare owners can head to for a great Valentine's Day, with the obvious destinations being Paris and Rome.

Venice is also another top choice for the most romantic time of year, according to Nick Trend, editorial director of Simonseeks.com, as it coincides with the Venice Carnival, which starts on February 16th.

He said the city, which recently ranked in Concierge.com's prediction for the top ten most popular destinations for 2010, really comes alive at this time of year.

As for those who want to stay here in the UK, Mr Trend recommended finding somewhere really isolated, such as a countryside cottage.

Those looking for somewhere away from the more typical destinations can look to cities such as Vienna, which Cheapflights has said is ideal for a romantic break in many ways.

The organisation pointed out that the city hosts over 300 romantic balls between November and February.
