Visitors heading over to New York can head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to get their culture fix, with a number of fascinating exhibitions taking place over the coming months.

One of these is the Drawings of Bronzino, which is the first ever exhibition dedicated to Agnolo Bronzino, featuring almost all the known drawings by, or attributed to, Italian Mannerist artist.

It will run from January 20th to April 18th next year, while the Playing with Pictures: The Art of Victorian Photocollage exhibition will be running from February 2nd to May 9th.

The latter will feature around 55 works from public and private collections.

From March 2nd to June 13th the Art of Illumination: The Limbourg Brothers and the Belles Heures of Jean de France event is running.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 by a number of American citizens. This was the same year that the institution's paintings collection started up.
