River Cruises and City Breaks in Germany

Timeshare owners looking for some luxury can head to Germany, which is known to offer river cruises and "first class" city breaks.

Katrin Lukosch, sales promotion manager at the German National Tourist Office, noted that the rivers, including the Rhine, the Elbe and the Danube, are an attraction in themselves.

The Christmas markets are a big draw to the country as well, with every town in Germany having one, Ms Lukosch pointed out.

These offer timeshare owners a shopping experience in a particularly special atmosphere and the markets are normally found in very pleasant locations within the cities, such as historic town squares in front of the cathedrals or at the river side, she explained.

At these markets, visitors will be able to enjoy drinking some mulled wine or eating Christmas food and can pick up goods such as wooden crafts and handmade pieces.
