Barcelona Named as Top European Destination

Barcelona is the place to go in Europe, according to OnePoll, which surveyed 10,000 European holidaymakers.

Timeshare owners heading to the Spanish city can enjoy some stunning parks as well as beautiful beaches and Catalonian architecture, OnePoll said.

A spokesperson for global market research site noted that Spanish resorts dominated the list of top destinations.

The spokesperson asserted that the city is perfect for many travellers as it is not too far away for European holidaymakers and is great for a weekend break, as well as having a great nightlife and sunny weather.

Second on the OnePoll list of top destinations was Paris, with Rome and Venice in third and fourth respectively.

Meanwhile, Maria Luisa Albacar-Fracanzani, head of foreign relations at Barcelona Turisme, has stated that Barcelona can cater for all kinds of budgets.

She pointed to some of the top cultural spots in the city, including Park Guell, the Picasso Museum and the Miro Foundation.
