Homecoming 2009: Edinburgh and Glasgow Events Scotland
There are a number of reasons for timeshare owners to head to the Scottish cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The staycation trend, strong events calendars in the cities as well as Homecoming Scotland 2009, marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, have given the country a competitive advantage, according to a VisitScotland spokesperson.
She explained that there are plenty of things for timeshare owners to enjoy in Glasgow and Edinburgh, including festivals, music, arts, culture and activities for all the family, making them particularly attractive destinations.
As for the strength of the euro, it has helped to position Scotland as a strong destination for the nation's domestic tourists, who normally may have holidayed abroad.
Timeshare owners heading to Scotland in the coming months will get the chance to experience some of the Homecoming activities, with more than 100 directly-funded events taking place as part of the year.
They can opt to stay at the Edinburgh Residence, which is part of Interval International's network of resorts.
