London Remains Most Popular UK Holiday Destination

Historic landmark Trafalgar Square is the top tourist attraction for international visitors to the UK.

Research carried out by foreign currency specialist First Rate Exchange Services found that the London hotspot was followed by Tower Bridge, the London museums, Buckingham palace and Oxford Street in the list of most desired places to visit, which may interest those considering a timeshare resort near the capital.

The most popular attraction varied among travellers from different countries, with Buckingham Palace being top of the list for Americans and Oxford Street most attractive to those from Ireland, while the French appeared most willing to venture away from the capital, with Edinburgh Castle and Oxford University among their favourite spots.

First Rate managing director Gordon Gourlay commented that every year inbound tourists spend around £17 billion in the UK.

Last month the Post Office advised those timeshare owners that head off on holiday more than once a year to take out an annual travel insurance policy.
