London has been named as the most popular May Day holiday weekend flight destination for Brits this year by Skyscanner.

It has replaced Amsterdam as the most searched-for flight destination on Skyscanner for the early May bank holiday period, coming out one place ahead of Malaga in Spain.

The website noted that there are a plethora of events for timeshare owners in London to enjoy over the period, with the Army and Navy rugby game at Twickenham, the Picasso Exhibition as well as the Slow Food Market at the Southbank Centre.

It also noted what is happening over Europe during the May Day holiday weekend, with Queen's Day taking place on April 30th in Amsterdam.

Skyscanner recommended those that head off on holidays to Malaga, such as a timeshare owners, visit a chiringuitos - a beach-side restaurant and bar - and try out some Malagan specialties.

Last month, London was also named the most searched for destination from UK airports by Skyscanner users for travel over the Easter period.
