Things to do in Britain

Although the British Museum is the most visited tourist attraction in the UK, there are other less well-known spots for timeshare owners to do things in Britain, it is believed.

Brownsea Island, located in Dorset's Poole Harbour, is home to some natural delights such as red squirrels and deer, according to Dixe Wills, who recommends holidaymakers, such as timeshare users, take their binoculars with them to spot some of the wildlife.

This summer timeshare owners will be able to catch a production of Hamlet at the island's open air theatre and the destination is only a ferry trip away from Poole, the travel writer notes.

Wimpole Home Farm near Royston in Cambridgeshire is another oft overlooked destination, where holidaymakers can take part in collecting eggs and grooming donkeys, the travel writer adds.

Belinda Rounce, marketing campaigns co-ordinator for Tourism South East, said earlier this month that leisure travel in the UK has been doing well during the recession.
