It’s the most influential site in the world when it comes to choosing a destination or resort to stay at, and now TripAdvisor has launched its first ever Exceptional Service Awards.
Earlier this month, TripAdvisor users were asked to take part in the new awards to ensure up-to-date and genuine results by nominating employees at their hotel who really made a difference to their holiday experience and made it special.
To find out who the winners will be, check out the website at the end of the year when the all results will be revealed.
One main reason behind this new awards scheme is that British holidaymakers felt that outstanding staff did not necessarily receive the appraisal they deserved, with few or no platforms to thank and promote them on.
Clearly, service is an extremely important part of any hospitality experience with 9 out of 10 Brits noting that they have returned somewhere as a direct result of the service they received. Similarly, in the past year 47 per cent of Brits have received “exceptional” service several times.
Chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor, Barbra Messing said, “Hospitality professionals can be the difference-maker between what makes a trip simply good and absolutely amazing, and trip advisor wants to help shine a spotlight on those who do it best”.
