Jet2.com New Flights Edinburgh to Majorca Summer 2010

Charter operator Jet2.com is introducing new flights from Edinburgh to Majorca for its summer 2010 schedule. Mallorca's busy airport will be the airline's twelfth destination from Edinburgh and Jet2 will begin the new flights on June 26th.

The island is the largest of the Balearics, but equally popular Ibiza, renowned for its famous Café del Mar beach bar and dusk-till-dawn nightlife, will also be served by Jet2.com which plans to increase its frequency of flights for Ibiza lovers with three weekly services due to passenger demand. Interest in Flexjet Fractional Ownership Rises

Bombardier has said that rising interest in its Flexjet fractional ownership and jet card business is down to the increasingly difficult nature of flying.

Bob Knebel, vice-president of sales and marketing for Flexjet, pointed to recent security issues and the hubbub of the Christmas and new year period.

This has helped garner interest in the fractional ownership flying option, he explained, and this will be sustained if these issues remain. Read more






Timeshare Travellers Face Tighter Security Checks

Those heading off to timeshare resorts this year will face tighter security checks at airports. Prime Minister Gordon Brown revealed that the use of full-body scanners will be brought in gradually.

He told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show that the equipment is already on order following the failed bomb plot at Christmas.
