South Africa’s best timeshare companies stole the spotlight recently at the RCI Awards last month in Johannesburg. The annual event which is known in the industry as the “Oscas” recognises the most outstanding resorts in a country well known for its luxury resorts, spectacular scenery and quality vacation ownership products.
The big winners included The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel and The Breakers, honoured as RCI Best Large Resorts for 2012. The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel has won five times now, for its consistent high quality standards of service.
First Resorts also fared exceptionally well, scooping eight of the 14 awards presented to the winners throughout the evening. First Resorts’ Salamander Resort in Umhlanga received two awards: Hospitality Resort of the Year and Lifestyle Resort of the Year (which it shared with Pearly Shells, a resort located in the popular seaside resort of Scottburgh).
The Managing Director of First Resorts, Johann Jordaan told Perspective Magazine, “The achievement in hospitality and guest entertainment forms an integral part of our core business practices. First Resorts regards this as one of our strengths, considering the strong effort made this past year to alter the way in which all the properties are managed”.
Nestled at the foot of Lion’s Head in the Platinum Mile at Seapoint in Cape Town, The Peninsula All-Suite Hotel is part of the prestigious Three Cities Group portfolio of “Exceptional Hotels”.
The brand’s umbrella also covers the prestigious International Hotel School, South Africa’s leading private hospitality education provider.
