Ryanair Adds New Routes To Top Timeshare Destinations

Manchester flights to Alicante, Faro and Tenerife among the routes

Ryanair is about to launch new routes from Manchester to Alicante, Faro, Madrid and Tenerife, and will also be adding two daily flights to its existing Dublin route from Manchester.

Manchester is already served by Easyjet and Jet2, who fly to Alicante, while Monarch and Jet2 fly to Faro, and three airlines – EasyJet, Monarch and Jet2 – all service Tenerife.

Ryanair will begin operating the latest routes from April 14 which are already bookable on its website.

Spain and its Canary Islands are Europe’s most popular timeshare holiday destinations and the new routes are good news for those heading to resorts in Alicante and Tenerife this summer, as well as those planning holidays in the Algarve from spring onwards.

The Manchester to Faro service will mark Ryanair’s thirteenth route from Faro to the UK, and the airline also recently announced a new Faro-Doncaster flight, further strengthening its UK-Portugal connections. With this latest route Ryanair expects to carry an estimated 100,000 extra passengers to and from Portugal this year.

The new routes are just part of the Irish airline’s ongoing plans to keep expanding. New flights to Greece were announced last week and further route announcements are expected in time for this year’s peak summer season.

There is also a new Manchester-Madrid route, convenient for city breaks as well as business travellers who need to visit the Spanish capital, as well as a twice-weekly service to Alicante from Humberside Airport and the airline has decided to add a weekly service from Bournemouth to Palma, Mallorca.

Penny Coates, chief operating officer of the Manchester Airports Group said: “We’re delighted to see Ryanair expanding its services from MAG’s airports which is a sign of the strength in our relationship. Ryanair’s new twice-weekly service to Alicante from Humberside Airport and its decision to add a weekly Palma service from Bournemouth are important, positive developments for MAG.”
