Hilton Grand Vacations launches new give-back volunteer programme

Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) has just launched its ‘Travel with Purpose’ Volunteer Program, a new way for guests to give back.

The top resort brand hopes to attract young people and adults to experience hands-on and fun experiences to add philanthropy while holidaying in Orlando.

So now you can add a bit of charity work to your holiday and help the local community. Club Members and guests staying at Parc Soleil by Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Orlando can opt into the programme.

A number of special projects have just been launched which include the “Travell with Purpose’ Paracord Survival Bracelet program supporting active military servicemen and women, plus Operation: Gratitude.

Meanwhile, Kids Camp programmes have been designed to engage young people in innovative activities including the assembly of emergency preparedness kits for local families. This will help to preserve the natural resources and beauty of Central Florida through environmental sustainability projects, so guests’ help is hugely appreciated.

“The Hilton Grand Vacations family is proud to launch this new program that provides opportunities for our timeshare owners and guests to help strengthen the communities where they travel,” said Kim Kreiger, Senior Vice President Club and Resorts for Hilton Grand Vacations. “Just as we provide unforgettable experiences for our Club Members and guests, we have the ability to provide meaningful opportunities and support to local neighbours in need.”

In this time of increasing awareness of our ecological footprint, the Volunteer Program is part of Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to Travel with Purpose, providing shared value to our business and communities around the world – strengthening connections between people.

Travel with Purpose is built on four focus areas: generating opportunities for individuals to reach their full potential; strengthening communities where we operate; appreciating cultures and the power of travel; and living sustainably through the measurement, analysis and improvement of our use of natural resources.  Education is key.

At Café Soleil, the Orlando resort’s most popular poolside grill and bar, a  portion of the proceeds earned from a new signature cocktail, The Charity Chiller, will support the Travel with Purpose Volunteer Program.

For every Charity Chiller purchase, Hilton Grand Vacations will donate $3 per drink to help fund creative, hands-on activities for kids and parents to support families throughout the Orlando area.

And delicious mocktail Charity Chillers are also being served so parents and kids can say “cheers” to Traveling with Purpose as a family… time to enjoy another Florida sunset, we think?
