Leading timeshare holiday exchange specialists Interval International have just announced a new affiliate resort for members to enjoy – Club Michelangelo, a points-based vacation club with resorts in two of southern Italy’s most popular holiday destinations.
Club Michaelangelo’s main hotel property, Hotel La Fenice, comprises 70 apartments near the Italian beauty spot of Costa Smeralda on the northeast coast of the island of Sardinia. In addition, the Club’s 54 apartments at Meridie Village are ideally located for a relaxing coastal break, situated just steps from the Ionian Sea in the small town of San Sostene on Calabria’s south-east coast in the region known famously as the “toe” on the map of Italy’s boot.
“Club Michelangelo’s resorts offer two wonderful holiday experiences during the popular summer season. La Fenice is close to beautiful beaches, but also within easy reach of many attractions and nightlife in Porto Cervo,” said Darren Ettridge, Interval’s senior vice president resort sales and business development for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. “On the other hand, the ambiance of Meridie Village is more tranquil. It is surrounded by olive and orange groves and is very close to a private beach.”
The modern Hotel La Fenice property has been designed in keeping with the local architecture, with all the studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments furnished with artisan-style fabrics and accessories.
The resort features a poolside restaurant and golfers and sailing fans will love the location, close to the prestigious Povero Golf Course and area marinas. Meridie Village’s studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments are furnished in authentic Mediterranean style.
Both resorts offer a host of amenities for guests, such as large outdoor swimming pools and family-friendly amenities, including sightseeing tours and on-site children’s activities at Hotel La Fenice, as well a playground within walking distance at Meridie Village for the little ones.
“Club Michelangelo is happy to be partnering with Interval International,” said Rudy Massimo Massarone, the developer. “Because our two resorts are so different, they will attract owners with distinct preferences. For the same reason, they also will provide compelling options for Interval members who want to exchange to Italy.”
Access to the resort could not be easier. Hotel La Fenice is located just 18 km (11 miles) from Olbia-Costa Smeralda International Airport and the resort offers a shuttle service to and from the airport. Meanwhile, Meridie Village is 70 km (44 miles) from the nearest international airport at Lamezia Terme.
