CLC World resort Trenython Manor in Cornwall scooped a third green accolade this year in the 2013 Western Morning News Business Awards.
The hotel and lodge resort, which is set in countryside overlooking St Austell Bay, promotes nature breaks and green practices and was named winner of the Green Achievement category – judged on energy saving schemes and environmental initiatives.
This year has seen multi-award winning Trenython achieve a Cornwall Tourism gold as top Wildlife Friendly Business and a Considerate Hotelier award for Best Green/Considerate Marketing initiatives.
“It’s wonderful to see the resort recognised yet again for the hard work we do, and it spurs the team on to achieve even more,” said resort manager Nick Waddington, “I couldn’t be more proud!”
The glittering awards ceremony, held on November 21st at the Holiday Inn, Plymouth, saw Bill Martin, newspaper editor, ask government business minister Viscount Younger of Lecke to tell Westminster that “the West Country is a place that is doing great business” and is “riddled with energy, passion and innovation”. A sentiment Mr Waddington wholeheartedly supports and applies at Trenython.
