Timeshare owners based near Glasgow will soon have two flights a day serving the Glasgow-Dubai route. Emirates has confirmed it is launching a second daily service on its Dubai-Glasgow route from June 1, and will also introduce a first class cabin on both flights.
The extra service – in addition to the existing daytime flight – will fly overnight, depart Glasgow daily at 2130, landing in Dubai at 0800 the following day, with the return leg leaving at 1450 and landing back in the Scottish city at 2000. The service will be operated with A340-300 aircraft, which offers 12 first class seats, 42 in business class and 213 economy seats.
Dubai as a timeshare destination has really come into its own in recent years. The climate offers guaranteed sunshine and is now a favourite alternative to Florida during the British winter. The region is well served by luxury timeshare and fractional resorts, including a number of condo hotels. It’s one of the fastest developing shared ownership destinations and Emirates Vacation Club and Arabian Falcon are among Dubai’s biggest vacation ownership names, and leading the way for luxury timeshare holidays.
The existing Emirates (daytime) flight will be upgraded to a three-class B777-300ER aircraft, configured for eight suites in first class, 42 seats in business and 310 in economy. The extra service and aircraft capacity means a 47 per cent increase in Emirate’s overall capacity on the route and looks set to fill up quickly
