Also daily route, Aberdeen to London Gatwick, commences early summer
Easyjet is launching a daily flight from Aberdeen to Gatwick in June, and for holidaymakers who can wait until the end of the summer, new services from Edinburgh to Athens, Tenerife and Grenoble start this September.
The Edinburgh to Athens route will link “The Athens of the North” (as the Scottish city is dubbed, because of its Greco-Roman style architecture) with the Greek hub from September 20th onwards, thanks to three flights a week between the two capitals. The route will be a great boost for travellers based in and near Edinburgh – currently there are no direct Edinburgh-Athens flights.
A twice-weekly Edinburgh to Tenerife route commences September 19th, and EasyJet also announced they’ll be launching a new Edinburgh to Grenoble (France) route although details are still to be confirmed.
