Devon and Cornwall are both beautiful neighbouring counties in the South-West of the United Kingdom, with outstanding natural beauty and a fascinating history.

The pièce de résistance for both counties are the beaches. You can find beaches with fine white sand, and gorgeous aqua-marine water that glistens tantalisingly in the sunlight. If you are lucky you can spot dolphins swimming through the waves!

This area is also great for water-sports such as surfing which is especially big in Cornwall with national and international surfing competitions being held at the famous location of Newquay. There are a variety of different activities to take part in including surfing, body-boarding, wind-surfing, sailing and snorkelling.

Many people enjoy a trip Devon or Cornwall in the winter months, as beaches and the coast are certainly not the only selling point for this area. You can still enjoy hiking adventures throughout the stunning landscape which take on a completely different, but equally charming appearance. Alternatively you can wander around castles and historic houses, enjoy a trip to the theatre, go shopping or take a wine tasting tour. Both counties also have an amazing food and drink scene with top class restaurants and a delicious cuisine, created lovingly by local producers.
