Wyndham Hotels expands with two new properties in Turkey

Wyndham Hotel Group is expanding its presence in Turkey, with the launch two impressive new properties.

The five-star, 219-room Wyndham Izmir Özdilek opened its doors early this year and became the first Wyndham hotel in the country to open outside of Istanbul.

The 20-storey hotel is located conveniently close to the airport and boasts stunningly detailed guestrooms, a variety of dining options, all in a beautiful setting overlooking the tranquil Izmir Bay, one of Turkey’s beauty spots.

Meanwhile, the Wyndham Istanbul Levent is already under construction and will become the company’s fourth hotel in Turkey when it opens its doors in 2014.

The hotels will join the Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina, which opened last December, and Wyndham Istanbul Petek, which opened earlier in the summer.

Rui Barros, Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: “Growing our flagship Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand is a key part of our strategy.

“It not only shares its name with our company, but also with our guest loyalty programme, Wyndham Rewards.

“Wyndham Izmir Özdilek is yet another exceptional opening and I look forward to working with our new partners, Özdilek Holding, to open our fourth Wyndham hotel in Turkey next year.”

The agreements boost the brand’s plans for global expansion, following the openings of 12 hotels in Europe and the Middle East just this year.

The Wyndham group also runs a prestigious shared ownership division, Wyndham Vacation Resorts, which offers timeshare owners a wealth of choices in different destinations.  Wyndham has a strong presence in some of the most popular timeshare destinations, including California, Hawaii, the East Coast of the US, Asia Pacific and the Caribbean.
