Manchester City football star David Silva is kicking off a new ad campaign to spotlight the Anfi del Mar resort in Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.
Silva, who was born in Gran Canaria, is an ambassador for luxury vacation ownership brand Anfi, and he’ll be promoting the popular holiday island in the new ads created by Salford Quays firm Media Agency Group.
The ads will run in six cities: Manchester, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam, Glasgow and London, on buses and taxis, as well as a digital banner at Manchester’s Piccadilly station and in easyJet’s inflight magazine, Traveller.
Anfi, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, hopes the ads will attract even more holidaymakers to Gran Canaria. It has appointed Media Agency Group to run a public relations campaign promoting Anfi’s resort on the island during the first half of this year.
Anfi chief executive José Luis Trujillo said: “The marketing campaign seeks to promote Anfi as a unique destination where the customer is our primary motivation.”
Founded in 1988, by the Norwegian entrepreneur Bjorn Lyng, today the Anfi Group is jointly owned by Anfi International BV and Grupo Santana Cazorla.
The Anfi Group is one of Europe’s leading Vacation Membership companies, providing luxury accommodation at quality resorts for lifelong enjoyment. The group has four resorts on the island which is a top winter sun timeshare favourite.
