Meliá Hotels’ new hotel ME London has won no less than three awards – ‘Best Opening of the Year (New Build)’, ‘Best Hotel Suite’ for its Suite ME, and ‘Best Hotel of the Year’ – at the fourth annual Awards in central London recently.
The ceremony took place at IHG Park Lane and entrants who took part included the UK and world’s top architects, designers and hospitality operators.
The judging panel was made up of a range of influential personalities and industry professionals including Michelin-starred chefs Heinz Beck and Clare Smyth.
Top architects Foster & Partners designed the ME London, which enjoys a prime spot right in London’s famous The Strand. The recently completed property won ‘The New Build, Opening of the Year’ – an accolade awarded to new build projects which demonstrate innovative structural and interior design, as well as ‘Best Suite’ for Suite ME, a two-storey masterpiece with 360 degree-views of London from the suite’s glass cupola.
The Meliá Hotels International team also walked away with one the ‘European Hospitality Awards Overall winner’ for ME London, making it the most outstanding hotel of the entire awards, amid strong competition.
