European timeshare consumer association TATOC has awarded five Holiday Club Canarias www.holidayclubresorts.com resorts with accreditation.
The resorts are all based in Gran Canaria and are Puerto Calma, Vista Amadores, Sol Amadores, Playa Amadores and Jardin Amadores. The resorts join 36 TATOC accredited resorts in total.
The TATOC Resort Accreditation Programme was launched in 2008 and acts as an independent award for resorts that meet a gold-standard holiday experience.
Calvin Lucock, MD at Holiday Club Canarias, said: “We are very pleased to have achieved this prestigious accreditation”.
“We have been working hard to improve the standard of our resorts and leisure offerings since we expanded our business to the Canary Islands in April 2011 – and will continue to do so.
“This recognition will and add value and credibility to the resorts and further establish Holiday Club as a market leader.”
Resorts that apply for accreditation are put through an intensive on-site inspection and audit. If successful, they can use the TATOC Accredited Resort logo at their resort and in all company advertising, publications and websites.
The TATOC accreditation team considers aspects such as:
· The standard of accommodation and leisure facilities
· The marketing that brought a guest or owner to the resort complex
· The health, fire and safety standards at the resort
· The sales practices at the resort, and
· The customer service levels provided by the resort, before, during and after a visit.
Resorts that meet the criteria are given a certificate which is valid for three years.
Harry Taylor, TATOC’s executive chairman, said: “We are delighted that Holiday Club decided to put their resorts forward for accreditation – and it is great news that this has been achieved at all five resorts.
“They are all established, well-managed resorts with happy owners and guests and we are certain that TATOC Resort Accreditation will be a beneficial tool to all.”
