TV celebrity and journalist Jennie Bond accompanied 50 guests and members from CLC World’s Costa del Sol resort on an exclusive trip to a new art museum, showcasing works by Picasso and his contemporaries, in the pretty white pueblo of Mijas.
And while there, Jennie, who is CLC World’s celebrity ambassador, also visited ‘the smallest chocolate factory in the world’, Mayan Monkey Mijas, and tried her hand as a chocolatier.
At the recently opened museum, the party were welcomed by its director Javier Fructuoso, who explained the collection and answered questions; wine and tapas refreshments were also provided.
Jennie and her husband Jim were VIP guests at Club La Costa World resort, midway between Malaga and Marbella. During her stay Jennie, who is famous for her reporting of Royal events and as a TV presenter, gave ‘an evening with…’ illustrated talk that attracted a full house.
Walking through the narrow cobbled lanes of Mijas, Jennie was impressed by the tourist village and said she had “great fun” making her own chocolate bars to take back home with her.
The recently opened Centre for Contemporary Art in Mijas is housed in a beautifully restored property in the heart of the old town and exhibits 130 ceramic works by Picasso – the second largest such collection in the world after the Picasso Museum in Paris.
