Owners at Orlando's first gay timeshare The Gardens have shown their satisfaction with the resort, research has revealed.

A survey by timeshare marketing firm Bay Tree Solutions showed that 97 per cent of respondents said they were happy with The Gardens and are planning to use it.

Marriott rescued an old building in Boston and turned it into a timeshare success, one writer reports. The conversion of Boston's Customs House into a Marriott Vacation Club for timeshare users is an example that communities could take on board, it is said. Originally the place where goods brought in from Boston Harbor by ship were inspected, the Customs House stopped operating in 1985 and remained unused for around 10 years, writes Mark Silverman for the Timeshare Examiner.
