Good news for timeshare owners thinking of taking a break in the Big Apple later this year, on the back of news that American Airlines launched a new, daily non-stop service between Dublin and New York’s JFK Airport last month.
The new service is being operated with a two-class Boeing 757-200 with 181 seats.
It will mean that customers travelling from Dublin can now enjoy direct flights to cities throughout North, Central and South America.
Currently, a direct flight runs from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Dublin. There are also 12 daily non-stop flights from JFK to Europe.
Tim Ahern, American Airline’s vice president for New York and International, said: “Thanks to our joint business with British Airways and Iberia, this new service connects American’s customers to a wealth of travel options throughout Europe.
“Adding this route enhances our expanding global network out of JFK and further establishes American’s commitment to providing our customers in New York seamless, one-stop connections to major business and leisure destinations in Europe.”
The new service is operated as part of American’s joint business agreement with British Airways and Iberia, connecting travellers to more than 125 cities throughout Europe.
To celebrate the new service, American is offering AAdvantage members up to 20,000 bonus miles every time they fly a round trip on the route, including travel on American-operated flights marketed by British Airways or Iberia.
