Greek airline Aegean Airlines has launched new flights to Athens from London Stansted Airport this month which will be welcome news to British timeshare owners who are fans of the Greek Islands.
The new service launched on July 11 and will run three times per week connecting with a through flight to the popular islands of Corfu, Kos and Rhodes. The Athens route will also be useful for timeshare members heading to destinations such as Kalamata, via. the Greek capital.
Aegean Airlines becomes the first airline to offer a business class service and offering to these Greek islands from the UK.
The flights will be operated using a brand new Airbus A320 168-seat aircraft, with complementary food and drink, as well as one checked piece of baggage weighing a generous 23kgs, to all passengers.
Business class passengers and Gold card members will have use of the business lounge at London Stansted Airport and an extra checked piece of baggage.
This additional route is now available until September 16th 2013 and has been announced due to the increase in demand for flights to Athens from London.
Aegean currently runs three daily flights from London Heathrow to Athens.
Greece recently topped a survey carried out by hotel comparison website trivago.co.uk which ranked the mystical Greek island Santorini’s Imerovigli and Fira as the two best Mediterranean beach destinations overall, based on user ratings and reviews. Chania and Rethymnon on the island of Crete also took the fourth and fifth slots in the overall Top 10 which also included one of Italy’s gems, Capri, ranked third.
